Holy Family Parish, Kiltimagh is a Roman Catholic parish located in County Mayo, Ireland. The parish is part of the Archdiocese of Tuam. It was established in its present form in 1962 and covers an area of approximately 20 square miles. The parish is part of the deanery of Erris and Belmullet. The parish includes the village of Kiltimagh, as well as many smaller towns and villages. It is home to a vibrant and active community who are passionate about their faith and proud of their parish. The parish has a long and interesting history stretching back to the 13th Century when it was part of the Parish of Ballina. Over the centuries, the parish moved between the Diocese of Killala, Tumna and Tuam. In more recent history the parish was united with Kilvine and Knock parish before becoming an independent parish once again in 1962. The parish is served by a vibrant and active community with a variety of services, ministries and activities. There are parish support services including bereavement and homecare ministries, the Parish Christian Life Community, the altar servers and devotion to the Sacred Heart. There is an active youth ministry and pastoral care team, as well as weekly Mass, Baptisms and Confirmations and monthly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. There is a strong commitment to Social Services, Education and Lifelong Learning as well as Ongoing Formation and Retreats. The parish also engages in many social activities throughout the year including the annual ‘Mile Buí Rock and Roll Festival’ and a community fun run. The parish is part of the Family Life and Marriage Preparation Course and Marriage Encounter, as well as hosting community outreach and pilgrimage activities.
