Synopsis: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced new trains for Navratri special for Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra in Jammu and Kashmir which is situated in the northern region of India covered by beautiful mountain ranges. The train is named Bharat Gaurav Rake starting on September 30.
This new railway commenced after the successful Ramayana Circuit which was operated this June by IRCTC Ltd. Now Railway Ministry is trying to fill the voyage left by the Ramayana Yatra Circuit. Now railway will introduce new trains during festive seasons to accommodate more people.
This train’s debut journey this year, in June 2022, carried 500 people on the Ramayana Yatra Circuit, and it was a great success. There will be eleven third-class AC coaches, one pantry car, and two SLRs on this fully air-conditioned tourist train.
With 11 dedicated 3-Tier AC cars, this four-night, five-day train journey would start from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station and can accommodate 600 passengers in a single sweep departure.
This unique rail vacation package is available to residents of Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Ambala, Sirhind, and Ludhiana for travel.
During Navaratri, more people travel to Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu to seek blessings. This creates a ruckus at the railway station because of less train availability and a large number of people. IRCTC Ltd. has taken an effort to address this issue by introducing this package to help devotees at this time, keeping in mind the increased demand.
Anand Kumar Jha, CPRO of IRCTC Ltd., gave further details regarding this arrangement, saying that IRCTC Ltd. has made an all-inclusive offer with prices starting at INR 11,990 per person on a double occupancy basis.
