2. Jabal Al Nour
Jabal Al Nour is called the “Mountain of Light” or “Hill of Illumination.” Jabal Al Nour is primarily famous for its Hira cave. It is the same cave where the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) received the first of his many revelations. This rocky peak is visible for many kilometres around. Its significance in Islamic history, along with soaring views of Makkah and the Holy Mosque from its summit, make Jabal Al Nour a popular spot for pilgrims. This religious monument in Mecca is a short drive northwest of the Old City. During the day as the sun and heat are intense, most travelers and pilgrims attempt the summit in the evening.
3. Aisha Mosque
Also known as Taneem Mosque (Masjid e Taneem), especially locals who are beginning their Hajj or Umrah journeys, Aisha Mosque is a popular destination for pilgrims. This is where the beloved wife of Mohamed (PBUH), Aisha (SAW) prepared to enter Ihram. The Holy Prophet Mohammad said, “Part of the worship of Umrah and Hajj is to travel in the way of Allah and to go out of the city”. Thus, this beautiful monument in Mecca serves as a miqat, or a place for adorning Ihram clothing. As such, Masjid e Taneem is equipped with a large number of washrooms and bathing facilities.

4. Jabal Thawr
Surrounding the valley where Makkah lies, Jabal Thawr is one of the mountains. It was within a cave here that for three days from the Quraish tribe, the Prophet and his companion Abu Bakr (RA) hid. Allah had a spider spin a web at the cave’s entrance to protect the two men, from seeing within and finding them preventing their enemies. To symbolize faith and hope, Thawr Cave has since come. About 12km south of Mecca, Mount Thawr lies. The site sees fewer pilgrims than Hira Cave in Jabal Al Nour because of its greater distance from the holy city, where Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) received his first revelation. It is one of the ancient monuments in Mecca.
5. Masjid Al Khayf
Sits on the edge of Mina’s tent city, this well-known place of worship where Mohamed (PBUH) and many other prophets prayed. Surrounded by a low wall, the mosque has been expanded to accommodate 25,000 pilgrims once a modest structure. Near the base of a mountain in Mina, Masjid Al Khayf is located, near the smallest Jamarat. After the Battle of Hunaian, the Prophet (PBUH) entered Ihram here before continuing to the holy city and stopped at Masjid Al Ji’ranah. Especially for residents of Mecca that is why Ji’ranah Mosque is a popular Miqat station. The expansive one of the popular monuments in Mecca has modern amenities, an important mosque for prayers and Hajj/Umrah preparations, lofty interiors and an elegant courtyard. 8. As. Masjid Al-Jinn
Scores of stories have been told about this curiously named the most famous monument in Mecca. The most famous of the accounts say that on this spot Mohamed (PBUH) recited the Quran to the Jinn tribe, who then embraced Islam and became believers. The original Masjid Al-Jinn was built in 1700 – and was originally underground. Include angular architecture and a distinctly modern minaret, recent additions to the historical mosque.
