On Thursday evening, PM Modi is set to inaugurate the new Central Vista Avenue in Delhi. From Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, a 101-acre length of lawns on either side of the Rajpath, now known as Kartavya Path, are covered in the new design. One more historic and beautiful public spot, Kartvya Path is a new pearl in incredible India garland.
On Wednesday, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) approved a request to change Rajpath’s name to “Kartavya Path”. Meenakshi Lekhi, a member of the NDMC and a Lok Sabha MP, reported that the NDMC Council supported the plan at a special meeting.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reopen Central Vista Avenue. As a result, after 4 pm, all offices and departments in the New Delhi area will be closed, and employees will be asked to work from home. Due to the expected high volume of arrivals following the inauguration, the Delhi Traffic Police has also issued a traffic advisory for that day.
Kartavya Path will not only grandeur the look of the whole area but send out the message to eliminate the colonial mindset and take pride in the Indian culture and traditions. This step will also boost the tourism sector in India.
