A missionary from England in 1886, Founded by Rev John Angus Bethune Cook Holy Light Church serves as one of the oldest churches and monuments in Johor Bahru. The workers built the church building from timber in old times, but they didn’t expect that building to be attacked after years. So, the leaders of the church decided to build a new sanctuary and to renovate the building.  In 2012, the renovation and construction were completed and as the Youth Hall, the old building was used recently.

Behind the Wisma Persekutuan Johor Bahru, the unique school lies at the small hill. The area was used for coffee plantation before the construction so the hill was also known as “coffee hill” by locals. This monument around Johor Bahru Malaysia was established in 1883. The area was used by the Japanese army in 1942, as their hospital until World War II ended. The school was reopened later in 1946 and since then, SK Ayer Molek had produced lots of high achieving and talented students who were now working for the government.

When Johor was under the reign of Sultan Abu Bakar in the late 1800s, at Jalan Ayer Molek the court of Johor was built together with the headquarter of polis station. The exotic and most unique heritage of Sikh in Johor is treasured in Sikh Gurdwara Sahib. Most of the Sikhs were appointed to work as policemen and the bodyguards of royalty in ancient times. Sultan Ibrahim Building was one of the most majestic buildings and national monuments Johor Bahru Malaysia. Overlooking the city center of JB that blends well with Malay and colonial architecture. Costing 2 million ringgit in overall, the construction was started in 1936 and was completed in 1940. It served as the tallest building in JB in those days. The Japanese Army used the building as a fortress, spying the actions of the British Army around during World War II while Johor was under Japanese rule.
