Synopsis: Tourists can now discover the scenic beauty of MP in the Bhopal-Jabalpur Janshatabdi Express through its first Vistadome coach. State Ministers Vishvas Sarang and Usha Thakur flagged off the Janshatabdi Express, equipped with vistadome coaches, from Kamalapati Railway Station.
Madhya Pradesh gets its first vistadome coach on Bhopal-Jabalpur Janshatabdi Express. The train was flagged off yesterday by state ministers Usha Thakur and Vishvas Sarang from Kamalapati Railway Station. The Vistadome coaches were ventured by the Indian Railways as an initiative to promote tourism in several states.
The vista-dome coaches are a modern approach to providing a comfortable and scenic ride for tourists. It features transparent roofs, huge windows, 360-degree rotatable chairs, sliding doors, and recliner seats for the utmost comfort of the passengers. Travelers can enjoy the dramatic view of rivers, forests, and hill stations in MP across their windows while riding on this train.
With the introduction of Vistadome coaches on the Bhopal-Jabalpur route, the tourism board praised and promised passengers that their journey itself would now get more stunning.
Referring to this, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Secretary of Tourism and Culture, said that this initiative will enable tourists to take in the immersive experience and enjoy the panoramic views between the two cities. Traveling to all popular tourist destinations, including Bhimbaithika, Madhai, Tawa Dam, Satpura National Park, and Pachmarhi, will be much more pleasurable and rejuvenating for all tourists, he continued.
According to recent data from Indian Railways, there are currently about 33 vistadome coaches in the country. The very first vistadome coach in India was inaugurated in 2017 in Andhra Pradesh on the Visakhapatnam-Araku route.
