History:
According to local legend, the Church of St. Lawrence was built from stones brought from the nearby Holy Hill (Horní Svět). The church was built during the Counter Reformation, when the Catholic church sought to regain power and Reformed Churches experienced persecution. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Czechia.
