Golden Gate Bridge by Car

Golden Gate Bridge by Car

Most of the time, driving to San Francisco attractions is not a good idea. But there are many parking lots near the Golden Gate Bridge, making it very easy to reach by car. To access the parking spaces, you must take the last SF exit when driving on the Presidio Parkway. The closest car park to the bridge is the car park in the visitor center. However, because it’s so close, it charges the fastest. If you still manage to get a parking space, you will have to pay $ 0.25 every 15 minutes. If you like hiking or don’t mind walking, there are other options. The first is the Battery East car park. It’s also a great photo spot, so we recommend you try parking your car on this plot. The plot is located directly below the visitor center and you don’t have to worry about time constraints or parking fees as the plot is free! The last two options are parking at Chrissy Field or Fort Point. They are both a 15-minute walk to the bridge and parking is free with no time limit! On weekends, there is an extra option if departing from San Francisco, follow the exit marked “Golden Gate National Recreation Area View”. The one-time fee for this item is $ 5! The only problem with going to the Golden Gate Bridge by car is that the parking spaces fill up pretty quickly in high season. This means you have to arrive early or find another way to get to the Golden Gate Bridge.
