The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is a Pentecostal denomination born out of an out-pouring of the Holy Spirit in Nigeria in 1952. The pentecostal denomination was founded by pastor Enoch Adeboye in 1982. After rapid growth in Africa the denomination established a presence in Europe in 2003 which led to a Latvian mission in 2007. Since then the denomination has grown to incorporate four parishes in Riga, Valmiera, Cesis, and Jelgava. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Latvia.
