History:
St. Salvator Church was first founded in 1260 under the rule of King Ottokar II of Bohemia who dedicated it to St. Salvator. The congregation flourished, and in 1278, the Church was completed and a new chapter in its history was opened. The original building was fortified by strong walls, and a new tower was added to the main entrance in 1602. In the 17th century, the building started to show its age and started to deteriorate. Finally, in 1867, a major renovation of the church was conducted, and the original Gothic style stained glass and stone arch were restored. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Czechia.

St. Salvator Church is a remarkable example of Gothic Architecture, having survived centuries of wars and city renovations. The 12th-century exterior remains divided into three distinct sections, including a central nave, two side aisles, and a semi-circular apse. The roof of the church is tiled in white and green terra cotta, and the facade has a large Romanesque doorway embellished with figures of angels and saints. Inside, the chapel is decorated with colorful stained glass windows and intricate wooden furnishings.

St. Salvator Church offers religious services throughout the year, including Mass, baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Visitors are welcome to tour the church, as well as to attend the services held throughout the day. Furthermore, the church houses a small museum dedicated to its history and artworks, as well as a gift shop and a library.This beautiful church in Czechia has made a lot of significance in the past.
