The Church of the Holy Spirit in Czechia is an historic Roman Catholic parish church located in the city of Ostrava in the eastern Czech region of Moravia. The church was originally built in late Gothic style around the year 1500. It underwent renovation in the baroque style in 1720, during which its distinctive three-aisled, three-level layout was established. The church's polychrome ceiling strongly resembles a particular style of architecture prevalent in Prague during the Baroque period, while its three-spire tower and the method employed in its construction, demonstrates the followings of a distinctive Moravian style. It is one of the best churches in Czechia which you must visit.

History:

 The church was originally constructed as a Roman Catholic facility in the late Gothic style around the year 1500, during a period of prosperity and religious patronage in Moravia. It underwent major reconstruction in the early 18th century, when its distinctive architecture and structure were implemented. Over the next 200 years, minor modifications were made to the exterior of the building. It was not until World War II, however, that the Church of the Holy Spirit in Czechia received the bulk of its modern form. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Czechia.
