3. Set Up your Profile:

After creating an account, you will be prompted to set up your profile by adding your name, profile picture, and other personal information. This step is optional but can help ensure a safe and reliable ride.

4. Enable Location Services:

To use the rideshare app effectively, you need to enable location services on your smartphone. This allows the app to determine your current location and provide accurate pick-up and drop-off options.

5. Enter your Destination:

Open the app, and you will be presented with a map interface. Tap on the search bar at the top of the screen and enter your destination address or landmark. The app will suggest possible destinations as you start typing.

6. Select a Ride Option:

Based on your location and destination, the app will present you with various ride options, such as UberX, UberXL, Lyft Standard, or Lyft XL. Each option has different vehicle types, capacities, and pricing. Choose the ride option that suits your needs and budget.

7. Confirm your Pickup Location:

Before confirming your ride, verify that the app's pin accurately indicates your pickup location. If necessary, drag the pin to adjust it to your precise location. This step ensures that your driver will pick you up from the correct spot.

8. Request a Ride:

Once you are ready, tap on the "Request" or "Confirm" button to request a ride. The app will then search for available drivers nearby and send your request to them. Wait for a few moments until a driver accepts your ride request.

9. Track your Driver:

The app will display information about your assigned driver, including their name, profile picture, and vehicle details. Additionally, you can track their real-time location on the map as they approach your pickup location. The estimated time of arrival (ETA) will also be shown.

10. Enjoy your Ride:

Once your driver arrives, double-check their identity by matching their name and vehicle details with the information displayed in the app. Hop into the vehicle, greet the driver politely, and enjoy your ride to the destination you specified earlier.

11. Payment and Rating:

After arriving at your destination, the app will automatically calculate the fare based on factors such as distance and time. You can choose to pay within the app using your pre-registered payment method or in some cases, pay the driver in cash. Take a moment to rate your driver and provide feedback on your experience to help maintain quality standards.
