In 2005, over 10,000 members were attending over 40 congregations. It is one of the best churches in Latvia which you must visit.

History:

Before 1927, many Latter-day Saint members from other countries immigrated to Latvia and Lithuania in search of better opportunities. The first Latter-day Saint mission in the Baltic nations was established in 1927 in Jelgava, and expanded to other cities, including Riga, in 1928. After World War II, a new mission was created in Latvia in 1991 with the opening of an office in Riga. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Latvia.
