Latvijas Vecticibnieku Pomoras Baznica, in English called the Latvian Fisherman's Church, was founded in 1768. The original church was made out of wood but was replaced in 1811 with a new structure made of stone. The church was destroyed by a fire in 1901, but was rebuilt in 1903. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Latvia.
