History:
The church was built in the late 17th century to replace an older Romanesque structure. It was designed by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer, with the interior work and stucco decoration done by his brother, Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer Jr. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Czechia.
