St. Michael's Church is a Catholic church located in the city of New York, NY. It is part of the Archdiocese of New York. St. Michael's has been a hub of spiritual and communal life in the Lower East Side since 1847. St. Michael's Church It is one of the best churches in Austria which you must visit.

History:

The earliest records of a parish in the area date back to 1806 and the opening of the first Catholic Church for German immigrants in the area. This church was dedicated to St. Ignatius of Loyola and was located at 633 Grand Street. After a few years, it was replaced by a new church dedicated to St. Michael. This newer church, which was approved in 1835, was built on the corner of Grand & Goerck Streets. Dedicated in 1847, it was the first church in the area to serve the growing Irish and German immigrant population. Throughout its 160 year history, St. Michael's Church has served many ethnic and religious backgrounds, particularly Irish, German, Polish, Ukrainian, and Italian.
