The overseas tourist’s rise includes wealthy Russians who opted for migrating to Türkiye after the Russia-Ukraine war. 

Due to flight restrictions imposed by Western nations following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the number of wealthy Russian tourists who chose Turkey increased to 6.67 million in July. The number of German and British tourists also increased significantly, propelling the Turkish tourism industry forward. The meetings and events sector has also experienced a significant uptick, and this trend is anticipated to continue. Türkiye is the home of beautiful monuments, beaches in Antalya, and delectables in Istanbul. There are many best places to visit in Türkiye.  

Rise in tourists in Türkiye

Türkiye attracted more than 23 million tourists from around the world in the first seven months of this year. Considering overseas travelers, German topped the chart with around 3 million tourists in the month of June and July. Things to do in Türkiye, you will find chunks of them. The soaring number of visits was reported to be 137.36% more than that of the last year in the same period.

Antalya, a well-known Turkish resort town, came in second with 27.6% of all tourists, or more than 6.3 million people.
